The Diversity of TCC Students
When i came to Tacoma Community College, i found out that TCC has diverse groups of students. It surprised me a little. In the beginning, i expected that there would be many American students, but TCC has lots of international students, jsut like our class. i guess that the number of Americans are not large, even if they are citizens. TCC also has various age groups. From teenagers to the elderly, they study together in same class not caring about their ages. I was deeply impressed by some elderly groups who have a good passion for studying. Moreover, i could see that that the students wore clothing in different ways. For example, one students wore a short sleeved shirt, while an other student wore a heavy coat on the campus. It was very interesting. When i first met the different groups of students, they gave me a little surprise; however, i am confident that the experience with them will help me understand well other people who are not familiar to me and communicate with them easily in the future.

The Basic Relationship
Everyone, who is women and men, have their own position on date and personal. Why people date with opposite gender? When they start to like each others, they begin to date. There are several ways of human relationships which are business relationship, friendship and any other relationships. The one of the first basic relationship is date. First date should be necessary of each person who is women and men. There are three things on date and before date which are men’s position; exciting feeling before date and men has to be a lead.
First, Respect will show that person’s attitude. So each person has to respect each other that mean is starting from their dress up to behaves. I personally thought that if I would be kind and nice to a woman, she would eventually fall for me. If I would spend time with her, she would fall for me. If I showed her I was one of the good guys, a man that would treat her with respect, she would fall for me. Also men have to be a lead when they are dating. Also men or women invite each other to date. I think inviting women to date is unwritten rule for men.
Second of all, before the date, everyone excited their date because first date should be necessary, and they prepare them self as good as possible. Also emotion might be higher than other days. Here is an example; my friend, who was dating with a girl first time, was very exciting and he prepared his self almost a week. Before he left to his date, he was asking me about how he is looking. That is why the date is essential and exciting meeting for everyone. The date is one of the choices of person to close to each other.
Third, on the date, date asker, who is men, has to be a lead. If person who is going to ask date from women, men should bring flowers to her or something special that is more romantic. The men have to be polite person. Such as, they have to pay bills, open doors, be nice and keep her satisfied that is big respect for women. However, women asked you about date; also men have to do those things superlatively. That means men have many responsibilities, and they should be lead on everything and family.
In conclusion, the date is most necessary thing for new couples. It is the good way to know each other. So in my opinion, date is a first step for every couple. It can take long time or short time that depends on people. There are not bad thing on date and also unexciting.

Uniform
School Uniform
I think that issue about whether all students must be required to wear school uniform is the one that is open for debate. Some people think that all students must wear the uniform. However, other thinks that students should decide what to wear to school themselves. Personally, I believe that students should wear what they like. For several reasons, which I will mention bellow, I think that school uniforms should not be required to wear at high school.
First of all, if students do not have uniforms, they can wear what they like to school. Personally, I like to wear cloth that is comfortable. Also, I was like to wear jeans and shorts, and as far as I know all students must wear uniforms but jeans and shorts are more comfortable than uniforms.
Second of all, I believe that school uniforms must not cause any discomfort. For example, international students will find unacceptable wearing some of the uniform’s parts.
When I was in high school, all students used to wear same colors uniforms. I was required to wear uniforms at school but I did not like too much because I did not like to wear same color of clothes all student s. Also I did not like the fact that boys always had to wear trousers.
In conclusion, I think that students should wear to school what they want. Otherwise, if a high school requires students to wear school uniforms, I think that uniforms must be comfortable same as jeans and shorts for students.

My First Competion
Basketball Competition
I love basketball competition. When I came to America, basketball Mongolian competition was starting in Seattle. I watched competition two times. Then I decided to join next competition with my friends. After six months later competion was started. We played with all teams. One game continued ten minutes. There were a lot of viewers and Mongolians. We did not win but the competition was our first playing together and also practices. I really like to play basketball so I am trying to win competitions. I do practice every Thursdays and Fridays. Basketball competition must have five people in each team. Also they have to wear same color of jerseys and numbers. We required competition rules so we wear same colors of jerseys.

Take Care of Your Weight
Many people worry about their weight but some of them cannot control their gain weight which is bad for their health. The health is the most important thing every people and life creatures. Why people gain weight? Gain weight is depends on people, which is they don’t care of their weight. If people don’t care of their body, of course they are going to gain weight. Nowadays, a lot of people are getting over weight that means they eat too much calories food, not enough exercises and cannot control their self for gain weight.
Eat too much calories food is big important thing for gain weight. People don’t notice about getting weight and can’t take care of that so they are getting fat slowly every day, weeks, months and years. “… The epidemic rise of weight gain and obesity is directly linked to the overconsumption...” (Parvaz et al., Section: News pg. 08a). They don’t know about that because they see their body everyday it means they can’t see their little bit weight. For example, first time I got here, my weight was 150 pounds. After six months later I returned my country for visiting then I met my family. At that time, they were surprised because I gained weight about more 20 pounds but I did not feel it before.
Some people take care of their weight but most of them don’t care of their body and health because they feel bad after they have gained weight. “… A Pentagon report that 75% of applicants ages 17-24 can’t qualify for service and one of the main reason is excess weight…” (News pg. 08a) Do exercises after eat is really good for health and lose weight. Actually, exercises are the number one of lose weight by easily. Also probably they will be good at athletics, and live long time. However, people don’t do exercises because of lazy. Then they choose easy ways for lose weight which are medicine, technology and lot of bad things. It makes them allergy, bad health and weak body.
Nowadays people are getting fat too fast in every country, my country too. However, people know about their weight is getting high, they don’t control their self. I think, they want to lose weight but their body and mind weren’t controlled by them. So they can’t do anything, stop eating and exercises for them health. Then they gain weight faster than before because they cannot control their self that is really stupid and impossible thing.
I think if people want to take care of their health and body, they should fight with their self actively or they are going to lose their future active life. Future studies are needed to establish the contribution that the school-nutrition environment makes an overall youth dietary intake behavior…” (Vol.80, No. 5, pg. 231)…” Actually everyone knows about bad thing for gain weight but they don’t fight with that. In my opinion, do exercises, control us, and eat over the limit are not those much hard. After people have gained weight, they regret about past time. Just do your best for your worry things.

All people have their favorite songs in musical art. The musical is the important for people. People can feel relax and good feeling from musical but some of them don’t. I love to listen pop music often which is Can you feel the love tonight because when I was in 9 years old, I watched the movie Lion King for the first time. Soundtrack of lion king song has won the academic award for best original song. Since then, it became my favorite movie and song. And every time, when I hear this song, it brings all the good memories of my childhood back and also I love that song’s piano sound and lyrics.
I heard the soundtrack of lion king while my feeling was awesome and I was playing with my sister. Since at that time, I used to listen that song when I get angry and sad. It used to influence me calm down. I still love that soundtrack. Also my sister likes to listen that song. That was my sister’s the first song of America, I was really excited and surprised. I loved it when I heard it first time because of lyrics, piano and Elton Jones.
I think Walt Disney made a wise choice by letting Elton John to sing this soundtrack, and “Can you feel the love tonight” is one of the Elton John’s most commercially successful and widely known songs. What i have learned about writing this quarter?
English is hard for me because that is my second language and really different from my language. Writing and Reading skills are the hardest class for me. When i was in my country, i don't used to read books and write essays. After i came in America, i had to take EAP classes. Every classes were very helpful and interesting. I liked this like more than them because i have learned lot of skills from this class. For example; i learned " how do write different essays" and reading lot of skills. The writing was my number one difficult lesson when i was in high school. However; i used to do my essays. During the this class, i felt about something special feeling which was my writing skills. I think, my writing skills improved from before because of this class...

Speed reading
I interested on Speed reading but it was really hard and misunderstanding. i could not read whole sentences from each page. First, i read one page that saw very slow and a few words. while teacher was getting down seconds, i was trying to read one whole sentences but i could not understand sentence and what is going on that book. When we started to read pages, i had read seventy words for one minute. After we did practice to read pages, i was reading faster than before. i felt every one was getting better for reading. My partner, who was American guy, was very good for speed reading. I could not understand when we read for 2 seconds but my partner understood about book. He was explaining to me about what he read that was awesome. I do not like to read but after i went to that class. My opinion had changed because i have to learn English quickly. Speed reading will help me a lot for my future business and my reading skills.
Internet Game
Internet games are big subjects in our daily life. it is fun, but internet games bring lots of problems such as, health problems, time manage problems and relationship problems. Internet games cause health problems. People stay up late and keep playing games have problems with their meals. As a consequence, they have no time to prepare their meals. Since they did not prepare meals, they did not eat regularly. People start to have some health problems like stomachache, less vitamins, getting angry easily. They eat junks food more than healthy food in fact they get much more lb then they are supposed to have. They sit front of the computers for a long period of time cause vision problems too.

An Important Choice
Everyone has their own dreams that change their life. When I was in high school, I had an important dream which was join to University of Mongolia. I studied a lot of math because my grandfather was a financier that is why he wanted me to be a financier. Also I interested that major and math. However, my parents wanted to send me to America, and changed my major. It had changed my dream and my life. There were two big reasons that were English and High education system.
First of all, at that time in Mongolia, English was the number one important language. Also English is the second language for a lot of foreign country’s people. Everyone was trying to study English when they get free. Also my parents took me English course for three month in school. Then I started to learn English. It is still hard to me because I haven’t studied English in my high school. I just used to study math for financier, as a result, I couldn’t learn English. After a few months later, I felt that I was getting better. That day was awesome day for me.
Second of all, the education is the most important in Mongolia and everywhere. Mongolian university and college have high education system. I had two choices which were study in Mongolia or America but my parents and I had chosen the United States of America. After I got my visa, I left my family, friends, my own land, and everything because of the high education system that will help my future life. An Important Choice

The English
The English
Why do people learn English? Nowadays English is developing language and the number one language in the world. English came from Latin that has twenty six letters, and one of the main three languages of United Nations. Everyone wants to study English and it is the second language in my country that’s why I m studying English in America. English is hard to study for new international students like me and also they get American culture shocks.
First of all, new students come in America, they want to travel around the city but some of them can not because of English. Every student does not have to be good at English. After I graduated high school, my parents sent me to America. First time, I came in here; I was not good at English. My English knowledge was poor. I used to know Basic English. Such as; “Hello” and “My name is Mandakh”. That was it. So I faced a lot of hard times which are speaking, writing, listening etc…
Second of all, most of students get American culture shocks. Because everything in English, people speak English and also culture in English those are tough to understand for foreign country’s people. When I got here, products costs were higher than my country. The most expensive one was cigarettes that were six times more expensive. Also I shocked by Thanksgiving, Easter holidays. When I got here, I got culture shocks; however, I liked them.
In my opinion, many people learning English and living in America that is good for their future life. If we can learn English fluently, we can live in the future. Everything doesn’t be easy. People should always do their best whenever our hard things will be easy for you.

I love to listen pop music often which is Can you feel the love tonight because when I was in 9 years old, I watched the movie Lion King for the first time. Soundtrack of lion king song has won the academic award for best original song. Since then, it became my favorite movie and song. And every time, when I hear this song, it brings all the good memories of my childhood back and also I love that song’s piano sound and lyrics.
